Where are you located?
We currently are a company without a home. You can reach us at P.O. Box 61964, Los Angeles, CA 90064.

What time should I arrive at the theatre?
Generally speaking, it is best to arrive at the theatre roughly 15-30 minutes before your performance.

Does the theatre have wheelchair access?
Yes.

Can my child/baby attend the theatre?/Is the show appropriate for children?
It is Chromolume Theatre's policy that no babies in arms may be allowed to attend. Further, we do not permit children under the age of four (4) to attend. This is to ensure that all customers enjoy the show. Young children are admitted but are not encouraged to attend unless the parent is confident the child will not distract other members of the audience. Everyone must have a valid ticket and occupy a seat. Accompanying adults will be asked to remove any noisy children. Generally, Chromolume Theatre produced productions are appropriate for school age children, while visiting productions can vary in appropriateness. Regardless, you should probably check with the Box Office when you order your tickets whether the production you are attending is appropriate for your child.

Are your actors professional?
In most cases, yes. Most, if not all, of the actors who perform in our shows are members of Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild and/or American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Do your musicals have live musicians or taped accompaniment?
All of Chromolume Theatre's produced musicals include a single piano, or a small orchestra, usually five pieces. We do not use taped accompaniment at any of our performances. Any visiting production may use taped accompaniment.

Whom do I contact to usher for one of your performances?
If you wish to usher for one of our performances, contact our House Manager.

How can I purchase tickets for one of your productions?
There are three ways to purchase tickets for Chromolume Theatre produced performances (please note that visiting productions' methods may vary):

Where do I pick up my tickets?
You can pick them up at the Box Office on the date of your performance.

Where is the Box Office located?
The Box Office is located immediately as you enter the theatre, to your right. The Box Office is open one hour prior to performance.

When are auditions for your performances?
Audition dates and times vary depending on the production. You can browse our Audition Page to check out when an upcoming audition is occurring and what to prepare for said audition.

Do you do only do musicals?
Chromolume Theatre's production productions are not only musicals. Occasionally, we will produce a play or a play with music. Visiting productions can vary anywhere between performance art to fully staged musicals.

Jean Altadel, Gaby Love Songs - A Musical

Born and raised in beautiful southern California, Jean Altadel now lives in Hollywood where she is actively pursuing her career on screen and on the stage. After receiving her B.A in Theatre Arts, she decided to go back to school and received a professional certificate in Musical Theatre from the conservatory at AMDA, Hollywood. She is proud to be a part of the award winning short film Usagi San which is currently hitting the film festival circuit with much success. In addition, she currently has two short films in post production, Joe and Dr.Con, which are set to be released by the end of the year. Some of her favorite stage roles include, Kira in Xanadu(DOMA Theatre), Nellie in South Pacific(4onBroadway), Laurie in Oklahoma(MTLA), Hero in Much Ado About Nothing(East LA Classic), and a gun-slinging gold miner named Pitch Pine Billy in the Laguna Playhouse touring production of By the Great Horn Spoon.

Born In Mexico City, but began his professional career in London after Graduation from The Royal Academy of Music London's West End: Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged); Raoul in Eating Raoul, Little Me, and A Midsummer Nights Dream. Kurt Andrew Hansen, Roy Love Songs - A Musical

Kurt has recently appeared in two award winning productions, Sweeney Todd and Working at The Lex Theatre in Hollywood. Kurt was honored with StageSceneLA's award for Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Musical, for his portrayal of Sweeney Todd and also nominated for an Ovation Award by LAStage for Lead Actor in a Musical for Sweeney. Jean Kauffman, Rose Love Songs - A Musical

Jean Kauffman has played Gertrude in Hamlet, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown, Carmen in Curtains, Helene in Paul Rudnick's The New Century, and Sara Jane Moore in the L.A. premiere of Assassins, choreographed by the wonderful Kay Cole. She has toured with Cats, A Chorus Line, Beauty and the Beast, Hair, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and On the Twentieth Century. Jean was recently seen by L.A. audiences in Something of Silver, Tony Tanner's musical adaptation of The Merchant of Venice, and as Madame Bathilde in Mark Twain's Is He Dead? She started her career singing in rock bands, girl groups, and as a back-up singer for Perry Como. Jean has a BA in Theatre from UCLA and an MFA in acting from Kent State University.

Craig McEldowney Ben Love Songs - A Musical

Most recently, Craig is appearing in Aesopera, a production in the Hollywood Fringe Festival, playing this June at the Open Fist Theater. Dana Shaw, Gaby/Sarah u/s Love Songs - A Musical

Dana Shaw is very excited to be a part of this world premiere production of Love Songs. Recently she was seen as Leah in the musical The Immigrant (West Coast Jewish Theatre). She is a graduate of PCPA in Santa Maria, CA, and since then has performed in many regional shows throughout California and New York. In September of 2011, Dana headlined her own cabaret show at Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's entitled How To Succeed In Show Biz While Really Trying. Michael Uribes, Jeremy, Ben u/s Love Songs - A Musical

On Stage credits: Around The World in 80 Days (Passeportout), Hamlet (Hamlet), The Robber Bridegroom (Little Harp), Candida (Eugene), Evita (Che), The Two Gentleman of Verona (Proteus), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Picasso), Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Guildenstern). He is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He was nominated for The Valley Theatre League Award for his performance in the world premiere musical Musical Chairs written by the late Academy Award winning composer Joel Hirschorn. This summer Michael will be returning to the bay area to play "El Pachuco" in Luis Valdez's Zoot Suit. Richard Van Slyke, Roy u/s Love Songs - A Musical

Richard Van Slyke was born in Albany, NY and lived in New York City where he earned his stripes in dinner theatre, summer stock, outdoor dramas and touring the Eastern Seaboard as Scrooge in a children's theater musical version of A Christmas Carol. LA stage credits include The Full Monty (Mercury Productions), Twelfth Night and Into the Woods (Knightsbridge Theatre), Betty's Summer Vacation and Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Long Beach Playhouse), Red Hot and Blue (The Whitefire Theatre), Pirates of Penzance (NoHo Arts Center), Side Man and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Repertory East), Murder Me Once and Ernest in Love (Fremont Centre Theatre), Secrets Every Smart Traveller Should Know and Merrily We Roll Along (Chromolume Theatre). He performed sketch comedy for four years at Acme Comedy Theatre. TV: Passions, North Mission Roadi and I Didn't Know I was Pregnant. Stuart Elster, Musical Director Love Songs - A Musical

Stuart is from Los Angeles and has been a professional musician for the last 42 years. He has performed or recorded with pop stars Donna Summer, Melissa Manchester, Rickie Lee Jones, Chaka Khan, Nicolette Larson, Glen Campbell, Paul Anka, and Rita Coolidge, among many others. He has performed or recorded with many jazz legends including Willie Bobo, Moacir Santos, Jimmy Witherspoon, Carmen McRae, Houston Person, James Moody, Teddy Edwards, Cat Anderson, Bill Holman, and Barbara Morrison Stuart served as Assistant Conductor and/or principal keyboardist for the national companies of Dreamgirls, The Lion King, and Wicked. He served as Music Director at Hotel Casa Del Mar for eleven years. Currently, he is performing at Shutters on the Beach Hotel in Santa Monica, CA, on Sun-Tues nights. He also regularly performs at Herb Alpert's Vibrato Grill. His recently released jazz trio CD "Get it Right" on the Primrose Lane label received critical acclaim and enjoyed national airplay. Stuart's song "Get it Right" is also the title track vocalist Mark Winkler's recent CD. Currently a CD with saxophone legend Houston Person and vocalist Barbara Morrison is climbing the jazz charts! James Esposito, Scenic and Sound design Love Songs - A Musical

James has done both scenic and sound design for all three incarnations of Do Lord Remember Me for Chromolume Theatre; in addition to directing (Strip), stage managing, and pretty much any other backstage/tech job around LA. He has also done sound design for Chromolume productions of Merrily We Roll Along and Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know. He is currently the V.P. of Operations at Chromolume Theatre.

Darby Shaw Costume Design Love Songs - A Musical

This is Darby's second time working with Chromolume Theatre, the first with Do Lord Remember Me, with hopefully many more productions to come. A native from the Bay Area of California, she came down South to study theater at Cal-State Long Beach, emphasizing in Costume Design and Performance. Since graduation in 2010, she has worked on many small projects including community theatre shows, stitching work for the Long Beach Opera, and a costume commission business run out of her living room.

A. Lynn Downey Lighting Design Love Songs - A Musical

Happily joining Love Songs - A Musical's production team, Lynn has been a theatre technician for the past twelve years. After attaining her MFA in Technical Direction from the California Institute of the Arts she served as an assistant scenic designer and carpenter for the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, props artisan for Knott's Berry Farm and the University of Southern California and Props Master for the South Coast Repertory theatre. Past favorites include Jekyll & Hyde, My Fair Lady, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, and Romeo and Juliet.

Chad Parker Production Stage Manager Love Songs - A Musical

Chad most recently managed Do Lord Remember Me for Chromolume Theater. With more than ten years of experience stage managing productions for other local theater companies, including Southern California Lyric Theater and Open Gate Theatre, Chad's most recent credits include AEsopera at the Pasadena Playhouse: Carrie Hamilton Theatre, two stagings of Oliver!, two stagings of A Midsummer Night's Dream (one outdoors), Peter Pan, Music Man, Twelfth Night, and numerous live sound concerts. While a stage manager by trade, Chad has experience in lighting and sound design and in recent years has been training youth in the philosophy and practice of crew work. Steven Cagan, Writer/Composer Love Songs - A Musical

From musical director for the First National Company of Dreamgirls, (starring the extraordinary Jennifer Holliday), to composing, arranging and conducting for some of the great performers of our time, including Melissa Manchester, Bette Midler, Diahann Carroll, and Georgia Brown, to his work for film, television and Madison Avenue, Steven has done it all in the music world. He has worked with some of the theatrical giants of our time, including the legendary Michael Bennett, Lester Wilson, Michael Peters, Bob Avian, and Joe Layton. He is a classically trained musician, graduating from the esteemed New College at Hofstra University. His choral works were premiered there, as well as early theater pieces, some performed by his classmate, the late theater and film star Madeline Kahn. He studied composition with Elie Seigmeister, David Diamond, Lukas Foss and George Rochberg, and arranging with Kermit Levinsky and Tommy Newsom. Steven was in the inaugural class of the famed Lehman Engel B.M.I. Musical Theatre Workshop. At the same time, he launched one of the busiest commercial music companies on Madison Avenue. He wrote and arranged many popular jingles for television and radio for Chevrolet, Ford, State Farm Insurance, Coppertone, (which launched Melissa Manchester's singing career when she was fifteen years old), and many others. Concurrently, he composed a number of ballet scores for Tony-winning choreographer-director Lynne Taylor-Corbett's Theatre Dance Collection. Among his early film assignments was as arranger and orchestrator for Woody Allen's classic, Take the Money and Run. Later, his original score for the film The Cat and The Canary, starring Dame Wendy Hiller, Olivia Hussey, Wilfred Hyde-White and Honor Blackman helped make it a cult favorite, and it was recently released in a 'classic package' DVD. He has scored countless TV series and specials, including those with Spinal Tap, Robert Klein, Michael Keaton, Lainie Kazan and Rob Reiner. He appeared as guest musical director on the famed "Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" numerous times. Steven has guest conducted the Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas and Honolulu Symphony Orchestras, the Ravinia Festival Orchestra, the Houston Pops, and others.

Doug's activities as pianist/music director/arranger include: Carol Burnett, Rita Moreno, Michael Feinstein, Connie Francis, Steve Tyrell, Suzanne Somers, Sally Kellerman, Paul Williams.
